Cyprus Restaurants and Dining Out
Cypriot restaurants are second to none. Not only do they serve up mouth-watering dishes, their hospitality is fantastic.
A typical Cypriot dish consists of meat, fish, salad, vegetables or hummus. Due to British influence, Cyprus does have all the usual fast food restaurants, chip shops and Kebab shops.
International dishes are available also; you will notice a varied selection of restaurants serving Mexican, Italian, Chinese and Turkish food. Generally speaking the food is really good although somewhat over priced especially in Italian restaurants.
To help digest your meal you will need a drink and with some good vineyards in Cyprus you should try the locally produced wine, beer and spirits such as brandy - your pallet will love you forever.
Cyprus wine originates from the south of the Island with the most popular brand being Othello wine and Keo Beer and if you fancy a cocktail don’t despair just about every restaurant will serve you whatever cocktail you fancy. Recommended ones are margarita and Pina Colada.
