Iceland Activities

Nightlife

While there are plenty places to visit and activates to keep you occupied, you can’t go to Iceland and pass up the chance to party Icelandic style. Reykjavik is Iceland’s party hub with several pubs, clubs, cafes and nightclubs. Alcohol can be expensive; it will cost you around 600k for a pint of beer and 450k for a shot of vodka. Themed bars include Nelly’s – an American Style bar and Dubliner - a fairly Irish traditional bar. Often the clubs have an entrance fee and won’t accept those that are less than appropriately dressed! If partying all night is not your idea of fun, you won’t be disappointed with the many theatres, live music venues and cinema.

Dining out

Dining out is a real joy in Iceland. An abundance of dishes to choose from representing all different cultures everything from Mexican, Italian to traditional Icelandic restaurants serving lobster, crab and any local catch of the day. Dining in restaurants can be fairly expensive, so if you are a student or just on a tight budget the cheaper option is self catering or head towards the fast food joints such as McDonalds.
